Oldest Parts on the system? Packed in early 1957
It is not often these days that our MD even meets anyone older than he is, but these parts were packed eight months before he was even born.
Securely packed in MOD “Not to be opened before required use” boxes at Eaglescliffe in January & February 1957 we think these are currently the oldest “New” parts listed on the system today. We’ve discounted the 1930’s Ruston locomotive pistons that we sourced for a potential buyer in Ireland last month as these weren’t actually listed on the system, just available at one of our suppliers in Europe. These parts are part of a consignment of over 700 line items of ex-MOD and commercial Paxman YH and RPH model parts together with around 300 line items of Foden FD6 marine parts including some rare Mk I piston rings ( Mk VI pistons and ring sets all sold now).
If you think you have older parts than these, or if you have a list of vintage or obsolete items you would like to list on Partfindermarine.com please drop us a line ( info@partfindermarine.com) . We are offering a years free listing if you have parts that are older than our ancient Paxman YHA parts. Just doing our bit to aid re-cycling and reduce obsolescence!
